All fence types

How to choose
Start with the job the fence has to do:
- Privacy from neighbors or a road: wood for the lowest upfront cost, vinyl for the least upkeep.
- Keeping kids and pets in while keeping the view: aluminum or black chain link.
- A pool: a pool barrier that meets Florida rules, usually aluminum, with self-closing gates.
- Acreage and animals: board, wire or horse fence.
- A business or lot: commercial and security fencing.
Already have a fence? Repairs, new gates and staining can add years to it. Comparing materials? Read wood vs vinyl and the best fence for North Florida weather, and check typical prices in the cost guide.
One request, one contractor
Not sure which type you need? Choose "Not sure yet" in the quote form. The contractor who contacts you will look at the yard and suggest options, and can often price two materials on the same visit.
